Moss Agate forms as silica-rich water seeps through rock, leaving behind mineral inclusions that branch and spread like vegetation though nothing organic is actually inside it. The "moss" is manganese and iron oxide, trapped mid-growth within clear or milky chalcedony.

Here the moss forms an almost solid band across the entire top edge, with a warm rust tone running just beneath it before fading into cooler green lower down.

Good for someone who prefers a clean, banded look over scattered pattern.
