Four Links Through One
Byzantine chain maille gets its structure from a repeating pattern where each link passes through four others, creating a rope-like weave that flexes rather than sits rigid. Despite the name, its exact historical origin is uncertain it's simply come to be associated with the ornate, dense metalwork style of the Byzantine era.
Made here in silver enameled copper, the finish keeps the woven texture the sole focus with no added stones.
Good for someone who likes jewelry with a bit of engineering to it, not just a chain hanging straight down.
