Czech crystal glass has been cut in the Bohemia region since the 17th century, prized for a high lead-oxide content that lets it refract light more sharply than ordinary glass. The Smoked Topaz Brown tone gets its warm, tinted color from metallic oxide coatings applied after cutting.
