Description

A Spiral Through Time

Turritella were sea snails with tall, tightly coiled shells, and their fossils turn up in rock layers spanning from the Cretaceous period roughly 144 million years ago right up to species still living today. This one was preserved as sediment filled the spiral chambers and hardened around the original shell.

Set with Mother of Pearl and Forest/Golden Shadow Austrian crystals, the fossil sits at the center rather than being hidden behind decoration.
